Gloria Polo brings a unique style to the world of erotic art -- photographing "real women doing real BDSM" as The Spectator put it. She shows the passion that is her own as well as her subjects' in her art. Gloria's interest in photography began in grade school, her love of women developed in high school, the evolution of her creative view followed. Focused on the eroticism of women, reflecting their strength, sexuality and the powerful dynamic that exists between women her art delights the eye as well as challenging the viewer. Describing her work, Gloria states, "I try to capture the energy, spirit and sensuality of my subjects and the images are a reflection of my own energies as well."

An active member of The Exiles, Gloria created her "Local Leather" exhibit for their 2002 Folsom "meet & greet" party, creating visual erotica of women that went beyond the artificial "lesbian" images so prevalent in mass media. Her "Dangerous Curves" is a tribute to Femmes of all sizes and colors in their power and beauty. Her most recent exhibit at San Francisco's Luna Sea Theater and Gallery "Pussy, Pussy, Pussy" closed to rave reviews with it's provocative images as well as the light hearted "Pussy Envy" trilogy. Upcoming events include a gallery and charity photo booth at the Queer Mafia's, 2003 Pride week Sexcapades extravaganza.

"Gloria Polo expresses a sensibility in her work and a sensitivity to her subjects made possible by her active involvement with the womens' BDSM community." - The Spectator
